The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed in regards to the high variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The company stage produced for intervention experiences a higher influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it complicated to the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more means to help the servicing of all shoppers and enhance use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
